Sam Asghari is reflecting on how his marriage to Britney Spears shaped his career.
During the March 10 episode of The Nikki and Brie Show on Sirius XM, the 31-year-old actor and model admitted that being married to the pop icon significantly boosted his visibility in the entertainment industry.
When host Brie Garcia asked Asghari—who appeared on The Traitors Season 3—whether he would “banish” someone for suggesting he owed his career to a past relationship, he initially agreed but then reconsidered.
“It’s a hand-in-hand situation,” Asghari explained. “I’ve been acting since high school. We met on an acting set, but I couldn’t help that she was the biggest superstar in the world. That kind of gave me a kick-start.”
He went on to acknowledge the complexities of fame, adding, “There’s a firm gray area. Everybody’s famous by association—whether you work with someone or you’re connected to them in some way. That’s just how it is.”
