A federal grand jury in New York will hear evidence in the sex trafficking case against Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs, according to reports.

P Diddy was arrested last month on charges including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation, and engaging in prostitution. He has vehemently denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty in court.

A source has claimed the grand jury is expected to convene on October 31. Attorney Ariel Mitchell has claimed the individual set to testify is one of her clients.

Mitchell told NBC News a male client of hers is testifying before a grand jury in the Southern District of New York. The Mirror US has approached Combs’ attorneys, the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and attorney Ariel Mitchell for comment.

Combs is currently being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits federal trial. The trial is expected to begin on May 5, 2025.

Diddy’s attorneys are seeking his release from prison on bail, which has been denied twice by two separate judges. As Combs awaits trial, he has also been hit by a number of civil lawsuits filed by Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee.

Buzbee filed the most recent lawsuits on Monday. The two separate cases include allegations that Combs sexually assaulted two boys, one who was 17 and one who was 10 when the alleged incidents happened. Combs has strongly denied the allegations.

Buzbee previously claimed to have 120 individuals who have either sued or are planning to sue Combs. Responding to the announcement of the lawsuits, Combs’ attorney Erica Wolff said: “We cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.”

She concluded: “He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court if and when claims are filed and served, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”

In a second statement about the lawsuits, Diddy’s attorneys told The Mirror US: “The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded todays barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity. Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone  adult or minor, man or woman.”
