14 years since the first episode of the fantasy film series about the wizarding world was released, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson… have matured both in appearance and career.
The first episode of the film – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone – premiered in 2001. Since then, the students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft have become attached to many generations of audiences, until the final part of the film – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – was released in 2011.

The film is based on the book series of the same name by British author J. K. Rowling. The main character is Harry Potter, an orphan boy who discovers he has the ability of a wizard on his 11th birthday. Harry attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he finds friends and enemies. Daniel Radcliffe began playing the role when he was the same age as the character – 11 years old.
The Harry Potter series was made over a period of 10 years. Daniel grew up playing Harry from the age of 11 to 21. At the age of 17, in an attempt to escape the boy wizard image he had been portraying throughout his childhood, the actor participated in the play Equus and caused a stir with a nude scene.
After Harry Potter ended, Daniel took on a few more roles in The Woman in Black and Kill Your Darlings. On the set of Kill Your Darlings, the actor met his current girlfriend, actress Erin Darke.
Emma Watson as Hermione Granger
Hermione Granger is an intelligent, logical, hard-working, and strong girl. She became friends with Harry Potter when he joined Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They also have a mutual friend, Ron Weasley. Hermione is Emma Watson’s first role on the big screen. The actress has been associated with this character throughout the series.
In real life, Emma is also a feminine icon, with beauty and brains. She not only continues to act but also earned a BA in English Literature at Brown University last year. She continued to play teenage characters in several films, including The Perks of Being a Wallflower in 2012 and The Bling Ring in 2013. Emma will play Belle in the film Beauty and the Beast, scheduled for release in 2017.
Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley
Ron Weasley is one of Harry Potter’s two best friends. Ron was born into a long-standing, pure-blood wizarding family. In the epilogue, Ron marries Hermione and has a son and a daughter. Their two children continue to attend Hogwarts.
Since retiring from Ron Weasley, Rupert Grint has starred in films like CBGB and Into the White. He also appeared on Broadway in It’s Only a Play, alongside Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane. He returns this summer in Moonwalkers, opposite Ron Perlman and Robert Sheehan.
