In the last decade and a half, an adventurer from Australia has managed to accumulate quite a fortune by exploring the depths of different waters. His impressive collection includes 50 safes, pistols, ammunition, a BMW motorcycle, thousands of bicycles, jewelry, and even some rare gold coins.
Leigh Webber, also known as the Bondi Treasure Hunter, discovered her passion for treasure hunting while swimming at Bondi Beach, where she came across a pile of coins on the seabed. Leigh, who is 40 years old and from Sydney, specializes in underwater treasure hunting, and has traveled to several places such as Ibiza, Thailand, and Amsterdam for magnet fishing and underwater metal detection. Her interest in treasure hunting began during a surfing-free day when she went scuba diving and stumbled upon coins at the bottom of the sea. Leigh then decided to use an underwater metal detector to find more items, and she fell in love with the activity because it was enjoyable. Although Leigh has not been able to meet other treasure hunters and learn their trade secrets, she is determined to do so by creating videos of her hunts and sharing them on YouTube. Leigh has taken her hobby to the next level by traveling to several countries, including Spain, France, Australia, and New Zealand, and plans to continue doing so by traveling around Europe in a camper van this summer. Leigh’s favorite finds include the Rose Noble gold coin from the 1600s and a luxury gold ring from the 17th century. Leigh enjoys snooping around and discovering hidden treasures, and has even found peculiar items such as pistols and bullets, thousands of bicycles, and a BMW motorcycle.
