Lady Gaga Shares Her Dream of Motherhood: ‘The Greatest Vision I Have’
Lady Gaga has expressed her deep desire to start a family, calling it her ultimate vision for the future.
The 38-year-old singer recently sat down with Access Hollywood ahead of the release of her new album, Mayhem. Less than a year after getting engaged to entrepreneur Michael Polansky, Gaga shared her hope that motherhood is in her near future.
“I really want to be a mom,” she said with a smile. “The greatest vision I have is that.”
Lady Gaga’s Thoughts on Motherhood
Gaga, who has been romantically linked to Polansky since 2020 and got engaged in 2024, has spoken about her family aspirations before. In a January cover interview with Elle, she revealed that she and Polansky have had serious conversations about starting a family and that she feels “ready” to embrace motherhood.
Her parenting philosophy is already forming—she wants her children to have the freedom to be themselves.
“That’s something Michael and I have talked about a lot—allowing our kids to be their own people. It’s such an intense thing for kids coming into the world,” she told Elle. “They’re told how to think, what to believe in, how to eat … I just want my kids to find out who they are.”
Balancing Fame and Family
While reflecting on her career and the impact it might have on her future children, Gaga hopes they understand her journey without feeling pressured to view her in a specific way.
“I would want my children to understand that whatever my artistry means to them is totally up to them,” she said. “I would never want to shape it or tell them how to think about me.”
Despite her global fame, Gaga emphasized that her greatest goal isn’t just about success—it’s about creating a loving family and allowing her children to grow into their own unique identities.
