The actresses tell PEOPLE which characters they’ve been secretly — or perhaps not-so-secretly — scheming to see explore a connection on the hit Netflix show
Madelyn Cline and Madison Bailey‘s Outer Banks characters are both finally settling in with the boy that they want — but the actresses have another idea up their sleeves.
Ahead of the season 4 premiere of the hit Netflix series, Cline, 26, who plays Sarah Cameron and Bailey, 25, who plays Kiara, tell PEOPLE about the scheme they’ve been secretly plotting for their characters.
After Bailey says that the budding romance between her character and JJ (Rudy Pankow) is “going to be the death of my Kiara gay agenda,” Cline teases that the pair “have an idea for Sarah and Kiara” to be love interests.
“We’re plotting,” Bailey says. “But you don’t need to know.”
Cline jokes that she and Bailey are “throwing the metaphorical spaghetti on the wall” with the idea — but admits, “It’s not sticking.”
Despite Sarah (Cline) being married to Chase Stokes‘ John B. and Kiara finally starting to explore things with JJ after years of tension, Bailey says of their idea for Sarah and Kiara to pair off instead, “John B. and JJ will make each other very happy. And it’s not like they’re going to be alone. Everything’s going to be fine.”
